Many believe that women has a hymen that brakes the first time she has sex, like a seal, and the blood will show that she is a virgin. But all this is a myth.

This film tells you about the beliefs, the background to it and the consequences of this myth.

The filmmaker Lotta Ekelund meets the scientists who exposed the myth, the surgeon who can construct a hymen for those who wish and who can pay for it, the social worker that rescues young women threatened with violence if they are not virgins, actor Kim Anderzon, 
rapper Behrang Miri and a Catholic priest.
